The Mudgee Business Association (MBA) was established in 2001 to represent the business community of Mudgee and surrounding areas in matters affecting local businesses. An elected committee of twelve local business people formally meet once a month to manage MBA matters & initiatives.

Our Mission is to foster business growth by promoting a positive commercial climate and be the voice of Mudgee businesses.

•   Committee Meetings
  Meetings are on the third Monday of each month (5.30pm). Held at the Horatio Motel in Horatio Street, Mudgee. Members are welcome to attend to contribute and discuss ideas.
  
•   What we do & benefits of Membership
  Important local issues are dealt with at monthly meetings for resolutions as to MBA policy. Members are welcome to attend and contribute input.
  
  • The MBA is a member of the state chamber of commerce. This allows members to have:
    • Free advice on Industrial Relations over the phone
    • Free business fact sheets and publications
    • Free business education and advice
    • Invitation to state chamber seminars and events
  • United business community
    • The MBA has a reciprocal seat on the Mudgee Tourism Board
    • Regular meetings with the local council
    • Strong relationship with local media
    • Close relationship with other local peak industry bodies (e.g. Mudgee Fine Foods, Mudgee Wine and Grape Growers, Gulgong Chamber of Commerce, Cudgegong Business Group)
  • Seminar & Networking events
    • Our aim is to conduct six of these events annually
    • Members can network with other local business owners
    • Informative guest speakers (e.g. OH&S consultant, Motivational speaker, Marketing, and a range of areas that support members in their business
  • You will be issued a membership sticker each year to display at your premises/on vehicle declaring your membership of the MBA.
  • Members will also be listed on the MBA’s website with a link to your website. Members without a website will also be offered a low cost webpage of their own linked to the MBA’s site. There are additional advertising opportunities on offer for members on the MBA’s website.
  • MBA member discount card for savings through participating local businesses
  • Regular MBA newsletters for members
  • Financial members have full voting rights
    
•    Major Initiatives
  • Christmas in Mudgee street carnival (CIM)
    • Each year in the week before Christmas the MBA (in co-operation with Council) opens up the CBD to pedestrian traffic. We provide free rides, activities and stalls as a way of saying thank you to our community for their ongoing support throughout the year.
    • A sponsor of the “Clock Awards" (local business awards) through Rotary Club of Mudgee Sunrise.
